Gérardmer is a city with a population of more than 8,000 inhabitants, and is located in the Vosges part of Lorraine. It lies in the heart of the Vosges Mountains and bordered by Lake Gérardmer, at an altitude of 670 metres. Because of its location, Gérardmer is an ideal ski resort surrounded by pine forests. Gérardmer has been classified with a "three flower" rating in the City flower classifications, due to its large accumulations of daffodils in the Spring.
