Magic of Iceland

Flight to Iceland. Arrival in Reykjavik. Welcome and transfer to the hotel.

Departure to the Golden Circle towards the famous sites of Strokkur and Gullfoss. Strokkur is a famous geyser that erupts every 7 minutes or so and propels a jet of water up to 40 meters in the air. Lunch in a typical Icelandic farm, producing dairy products. Continuation to the south coast of Iceland where you will have the chance to observe the wonderful Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss waterfalls, which are certainly the most famous in Iceland.
Discovery of the black beach of Reynisfjara and its natural geological formations. Arrival at the village of Vík and a short walk to soak up the life of this small town of less than 300 inhabitants! Dinner and night in the region of Vik.

The first stop will be Skaftafell National Park which is part of Vatnajökull National Park. The visit of the park offers the unforgettable spectacle of the glaciers flowing in the plains. Photo stop at Skaftafell Park to see the glacier from afar. You will then head to the Jökulsárlón glacier, the largest in Europe. Lunch in the vicinity of Jökulsárlón. After this highlight, visit small fishing villages. Your final destination for today will be Egilsstadir.

First stop at Detifoss, known to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Continue to the solfatars and bubbling mud pots at Namaskard. You will continue your tour to Lake Myvatn located in an area of active volcanoes. Dimmuborgir is one of the most important places in this region: it is composed of volcanic caves and rock formations. Lunch at Lake Myvatn. Entrance to the Myvatn baths, and admire the unique nature that surrounds you. Dinner in downtown Akureyri. Overnight in the Akureyri area.

Another day full of highlights awaits you. We will take you to Hauganes where you can watch whales on a boat trip. Afterwards, visit the Glaumbær Museum, an old peat farm from the 18th century. Visitors can discover the historical, cultural and architectural heritage of Iceland. In the afternoon, we will head to the Icelandic horse lands along the Skagafjördur. Your final stop will be the fishing village of Borgarnes. Dinner and overnight stay in the Borgarnes area.

Departure for a day of exploration on the Snafellsnes peninsula dominated by Snaefellsjökull – nicknamed the “snow-capped volcano” – a glacier volcano that inspired Jules Verne for his Journey to the Center of the Earth. A beautiful road, between sea and mountains, leads to the village of Arnarstapi, an adorable miniature port nestled in a cove. Continue to the charming village of Hellissandur and then to the fishing ports of Ólafsvík and Grundarfjörður. Return to Borgarnes. Dinner and overnight stay in the Borgarnes area.

Departure for a day on the traces of the Vikings. First stop at Reykholt, a historical place where many sagas were written and observation of the hot springs of Deildartunguhver. You will then discover Hraunfossar (lava waterfall) and Barnafossar (children’s waterfall). Lunch on the way. Continuation towards Thingvellir, where the Parliament was founded in 930. Return to Reykjavik. Dinner at leisure. Night in Reykjavik.
