The river Ill comes from the Alsatian Jura and crosses the whole plain of Alsace. It is more than 200 kilometres long and crosses the departments of Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin. The Ill passes through Mulhouse, Colmar and Strasbourg. Its surroundings are located in the picturesque Petite France district of Strasbourg, where you can book one of our charming hotels with a view! It has many tributaries and is generally high in winter and lower in summer. It is an important river because it is fed by the Vosges precipitation.
