The Arno is an Italian river. It rises on the slopes of Mount Falterona, at an altitude of 1340 metres. The Arno is 240 kilometres long and flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea. Along its course, it is joined by numerous tributaries, and waters Italian cities such as Florence and Pisa. In Florence, the Arno flows for more than 4 kilometres between the broad boulevards of the city, and at Pisa, rowers are an attractive sight on the river.
