Saint-Jean cathedral

This magnificent cathedral is situated in Old Lyon on the right bank of the Saône. It combines Gothic and Roman styles and has been classed as a historical monument since 1862. It has an astronomical clock which is one of the oldest in Europe. It's facade is composed of 300 medallions which depict the story of certain passages from the Old and New Testament, whilst its interior is very bright and offers a magnificent sight with its characteristic blue-violet stained-glass.
