Part-Dieu designates a district of the city of Lyon where the largest train station in Lyon, a grand business center and a large-scale shopping centre are located. The name also refers to the Part Dieu Tower, also known as ‘the crayon’, the headquarters of Credit Lyonnais erected in 1977 and recognizable from afar. The Part-Dieu borough is located east of the city on the left bank of the Rhône and its architecture is modern.
