Lake Geneva is a French-Swiss lake situated in the canton of Vaud in Geneva. Its northern part belongs to the Swiss while the south-eastern part comes under the jurisdiction of France. Considered to be the biggest natural lake in central Europe, it occupies an area of 582.4 km². It attracts numerous visitors with its beauty, its leafy surroundings and the Jet d'Eau fountain. It also offers visitors sporting activities such as fishing as well as cultural activities.
