The Belon is a river in Brittany, in the coastal department of Finistere in north-west France. The river empties into the Atlantic Ocean and is 97 kilometers long, running through six towns. The Belon has seven tributaries, of which the Dourdu is the principal. The river is known for its rich waters in which succulent and nutty-tasting flat oysters are cultivated. There are several oyster processing establishments located in the river estuary.
