121, boulevard de la Dune - 40150 Hossegor, France
A modest man, an elegant chef and a fine golfer, Jean Cousseau, now joined in the kitchen by his niece Clémentine, claims he wants nothing special... except to make his customers happy. This has certainly been true of his Relais de la Poste, which has maintained its two-star rating in the Michelin Guide for a long time now. But it also applies to his Jean des Sables, hidden from sight on the beach by the nearby dunes. In this stylish setting is served food that naturally gives pride of place to local seafood dishes. However much he may talk of the place's history, its owner never forgets any of the suppliers who have become his friends. That is why we like it here, where we feel almost part of the family. And where, on our way out, we are invariably asked the same question: when are we coming back?
Annual closure from January 1st to February 10th.\r\nIn July & August: the restaurant is closed at lunch time on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
