One day Édouard Loubet, native of Val Thorens, former hope of the French skiing team and kitchen enthusiast, decided to set out to win “stars for good food” rather than one of those uncertain Olympic medals. Today, nobody would consider complaining about that decision to leave the summits of Val-Thorens, the village of his birth, for Provence and Luberon, where the winters are equally as hard as in the mountains, and the summers are hot and Mediterranean. It is there, perfectly supported by his wife Isabelle, that this chef with the devilish imagination, who has served apprenticeships in the teams at Chapel and Veyrat, perfects his sophisticated cuisine. In it, herbs and flowers form a very solid basis, but it is also filled with spontaneity. Ah – to savour food in that light-filled room which opens, as far as the eye can see, onto the lavender fields…
In the summertime and until September 15, the restaurant is open everyday for dinner except on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. From September 15, the restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
