Armação de Pera is a small town on Portgual's southwest coast, part of the Algarve region. Surrounded by the ocean, it is famous for its beach, the longest anywhere in the Algarve. Despite recent urban development, the town retains its charm and remains an attractive tourist destination. This small southern Portuguese resort is also remarkably sunny. Though it has only 5,000 inhabitants, Armação de Pera is easy to reach, as it is close to the regional capital, Faro.
