Located in Onzain south of Blois in the Loire Valley, the Château des Tertres is undoubtedly a very nice starting point for anyone who wishes to visit the Chateaux of the Loire Valley. Built in the 19th century by a colonel from the Second Empire, it was transformed into a hotel after serving as the home of Marguerite Duras' mother until 1956. The view of the surrounding countryside is simply magnificent. Inside, the 14 standard rooms, classical and prestigious, are spread over 2 floors and furnished in traditional classical style to keep with the spirit of the castle. A few metres away, a pretty little house is home to 4 spacious and comfortable rooms ideal for families. They all have access to a small private garden. Your breakfasts will be served in a beautiful room on the ground floor or on the terrace in fine weather; they are composed of quality products, fresh bread and pastries baked on the spot. Outside, the park, centenary trees invite you to utter calmness and relaxation, a peaceful place where fauna and flora resume their rights. This park is a real enchantment especially in August when the cyclamens bloom.
