The prestigious ski resort Val-d'Isere combines the traditional architecture of a typical Savoyard mountain village with modern luxury sports facilities. A village of charm and authenticity
In Val-d'Isère you will be amazed by the architecture of the houses. Most of them are built of stone and wood and you will notice their roofs with two sides, covered in stone of lauze. The baroque church is part of the village's architectural heritage. It dates from the XIth century, its bell tower from 1664, and it is dedicated to the patron saint Bernard de Menthon.
