A charming town in the department of Aveyron, Millau is squeezed between two imposing extinct volcanoes in the southern Massif Central, the Causse Noir and the famous Causse du Larzac. Millau itself is crossed by the meandering River Tarn which covers a surprisingly large area within this town of twenty thousand inhabitants.
