Chambery is located in the department of Savoie between the Bauges and the Chartreuse mountains. It is a city rich in landmarks dating from antiquity, the medieval era, the Renaissance or in the Baroque style. The nineteenth and twentieth centuries are also represented by such works as the Elephants Fountain constructed in 1838, or the Halles de Chambrey built in 1930. With its many parks, gardens and forests, Chambery is a green and very floral city.
